After reviewing the first generation LattePanda SBC comes the new LattePanda Alpha which is a very powerful pocket size computer designed by DFRobot, a type of cross breed between a development board and Mini PC. LattePanda team has built up an online community for users from all over the world, contributing hundreds of quality projects. DFRobot company offers two types of boards: LattePanda Delta and the more high-end edition called Alpha, designed for users that need higher computing power, for example in machine learning software development.

Hardware

The LattePanda Alpha Edition cooperates with the same Intel 7th generation Core m3 processor as the latest Mac-book. It is the perfect choice for keeping the power consumption down, but still delivering superior performance. More importantly, it also integrates an Arduino Compatible co-processor to support the access of thousands of sensors and controllers. 40 pairs of interfaces integration on the board, strong expansion capability ensures its infinite possibilities.

Equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron  N4100 with 4GB RAM / 32GB EMMC V5.1 configuration, powered by an Intel UHD Graphics 600 Series GPU, and the more advanced power users the Alpha that comes with higher specifications which include a dual-core Intel 7th Gen Core m3-7Y30 processor, 8GB RAM / 64 EMMC V5.1 along with an Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU. As for other specifications, you can find on both models  x3 USB 3.0 ports, x2 50 pin headers, x1 Micro SD Socket, 1x Audio & Microphone Jack, x1 USB-Type C, Dual band network support, gigabyte Ethernet and an onboard Arduino co-processor chip.

Software 

Windows 10 Pro is Microsoft’s enhanced operating system based on Windows 10 Home also come pre-installed with both boards which retains all the features of the home version, compatible with all Windows software while providing greater security for industrial applications. In addition, you have multi-boot option that supports Ubuntu Linux OS that basically lets you pick a preferred operating system.

 

Innovative Case Design

The board new and modern looking case comes integrated with fan vent and smooth metallic finish, giving it a unique gamer product look that will stand out whether placed on the back of a robot or on the top of your desk, all while protecting and providing better cooling to the LattePanda unit.

      Currently, there is not a lot of information except the photos. I will update the post
