The Geeekpi unique Cooling solution is designed especially for the Raspberry Pi 3/2 board series. The dual fan Kit is composed of two fans mounted on one single cooler unit that is mounted on top of the main CPU chip and the network chip, those giving both chips proper cooling. Because there are no mounting holes in the Raspberry Pi boards, attaching the unit is done with thin thermal tape, also included with the kit.
To cool the back side of the Raspberry Pi board 52Pi company included a flat copper heating pad with a one side thermal sticker that helps with heat distribution and provides good cooling without occupying extra height when the board is assembled inside a case. 52Pi stated that their solution is capable of reducing overall temperature up to in 20 degrees compared to other existing solutions on the market, which can be ideal for users that are into Overclocking related projects. What’s included in Package?
The kit is composed of on heatsink with dual fans mounted on top, two thermal taps with different thickness with a sticker on each side. According to 52Pi if you pick the one with a thickness of ~0.5 mm it should be the best for optimal heat conductivity. The company also added a very easy to understand user guide explaining how to connect the heatsink 5V power plug to the Raspberry Pi board GPIO header pins. and finally, an extra addition to this package is a copper-made heatsink with a one side sticker designed to be attached to the Raspberry Pi RAM chip.
