RikoMagic V7
The Rikomagic V7 is a new successor to the previous Rikomagic RKM V5 model. Shenzhen Rikomagic Tech Corp., Ltd is well known as one of the few companies that launched their first ARM-based PC-on-a-stick products. That eventually paved the way for other brands to launch their products, such as the known Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku Streaming Sticks.
What’s new?
The RikoMagic V7 maintains the same plastic enclosure with a built-in 1GbE LAN port. Under the hood, you will find a new Rockchip RK3568 quad-core 64-bit processor based on the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture, capable of running at clock frequencies up to 2.0GHz. The V7 Stick comes in two main variations, 2G RAM/16G ROM or 4G RAM/32G ROM.
Designed for Multimedia / Signage Applications
The RockChip hardware cooperates with a Mali-G52 CPU capable of decoding videos at 2K/4K resolution and commonly plays 1080P videos at 60 fps. This hardware should be enough for the home and business consumer multimedia applications to function as a portable, small signage player. On top of that, Rikomgic also offers WiFi 6 connectivity support for more highly demanding applications, so it’s a big plus to have it all function packed in a relatively small device.
Interfaces
The V7 Stick comes with a 5V power adaptor. It has a built-in 1G LAN, HDMI 2.0, and USB2.0 Host next to a second USB3.0 OTG port.
Tiny in size
The RKM V7 device measures 120 x 60 x 23 mm, making it easy to hide behind or beside a TV or monitor. It also has an HDMI cable and a 5V/2A power supply adapter. Also, another new change in design from the previous V series is the internal HDMI type port which is easier to use with an extension HDMI cable.
