Product Introduction

This review will be focusing on the new MK903IV quad core Android Mini PC from Shenzhen BoSuntop Technology Co., Ltd. is a TV Stick based on the rockchip RK3188 Chipset solution. The Company has two main types of models. The MK902IV and the more advance MK903IV Pro that has a built-in 2MP Camera for video conferencing support.

Both models are available with a complete package which includes a Fly Mouse/Remote control or optionally sold separately. What’s nice about the products is the casing build quality that’s very high, made Through aluminum mentor wire process, Those improving Heat dissipation through its outer envelope to the environment. Making the process of cooling the electronic components more effectively compared to a casing made from plastic material. Before we start I would want to thank BoSuntop Company for providing a sample for the review.

Design

The design is nothing but excellent. Product casing is made from aluminum profile material with a golden colored coating, probable anodized coated.There is a wide selection of available colors including: black, gray, blue etc.

System

MK903IV has the latest stable Android 4.2.2 with kernel ver. 3.036+ . The system is pretty clean except with few pre-installed apps like XBMC v12 Frodo, CloudTV ,Netflix, and Skype.

Result

Looks like rockchip solved their previous bugs with the new Android 4.2.2 firmware. Miracast feature performs well without problems.

Wi-Fi Connection

Based on the latest Broadcom AP6330 chip. said to be better and stable vs. previous Realtek solution. I didn’t see any point pasting picture showing single strength screenshots since I cant compare performance to an ideal situation and also network conditions vary.

Result

Works well with the external antenna, I recommend using a detachable type with magnetic base for mounting it in higher locations for getting optimal single strength.
