Design
The Selfie Stick is made from plastic and some rubber materials. The upper part of the handle is assembled inside a rubber sleeve that is used as a housing for the Bluetooth remote shutter unit. As for other parts. The phone gripper (holder), as well as the Arm coming out of the handle, are all made from hollow metal profiles. The product with the remote weight 149 grams which is pretty lightweight. Depending on the mobile phone you are holding, you will gain additional weight but still in a reasonable weight range of ~300-400 grams.

The length of the selfie stick excluding the phone holder (gripper) is 420 mm. Based on my personal checks and Xioami specifications the phone holder opens to a maximum wide of 89 mm. Any phone bigger than that will not fit, making this selfie stick basically useless.
Operation

One of the highlights of this product is the ability to use it also as a tripod and use the phone along with the Bluetooth remote to take selfie pictures. The handle of the stick opens to Three supporters so it’s very easy to place it on a straight surface. With the shutter remote, there is no need to carry and lift the stick while taking photos.

Remote Control
Xiaomi included a very small single button remote control for taking stills photos. It comes with a built-in chargeable battery you can charge using any standard phone USB cable through PC with a USB port. To use it, you need to simply press the button for a few seconds until the unit is turned on. In this state it will start flashing in blue color, indicating that the remote is powered but not paired. Once a connection is made with Bluetooth enabled device (Phone) it will be recognized by the remote as: ‘XMZPG‘ and will stop flashing. As a final last step, you just need to open your mobile phone camera App and try it.
The remote can also be easily assembled and dissembled from a small compartment made of rubber which is an integrated part of the stick handle, making it a lot comfortable to carry outdoors.
