Impressive sharp AMOLED display

The device boasts a sizable 1.74-inch AMOLED display panel in a rectangular shape, delivering a high resolution of 480 x 336 pixels and an impressive 336 PPI density. Xiaomi asserts a maximum brightness of 600 Nits, and based on our previous encounters, this claim holds true.

The display is vibrant and responsive and provides clear visibility even in bright sunlight. The touch screen interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing users to access various functions with just a swipe or tap. Compared to previous models, the display on the Band is larger and offers better resolution, enhancing the overall user experience.

Conducting an outdoor visibility assessment under extreme sunlight conditions

As shown in the photos below, we were able to achieve a clear and legible display in most situations. However, reflections from the surrounding countryside and smudges proved to be challenging. We highly recommend avoiding these situations. As a final tip, we recommend using a watch face with larger, more readable fonts.

Built-in ambient light sensor

The smart band comes with a built-in ambient light sensor, which is responsible for detecting the lighting conditions in the environment and automatically adjusts the display brightness based on that. Setting your device to manual mode can help conserve battery power as it reduces the frequency of background processes and updates.

When in automatic mode, the device constantly checks for updates and performs background tasks, which can drain the battery more quickly. Therefore, opting for manual settings can be more efficient for battery conservation.
