Battery Life & Charging Speed
The main highlight of this tablet is the massive 9,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting performance. It includes a standard 5V – 3A power adapter, which provides a maximum output of 15W. For those seeking a slightly quicker charging, the device also supports 18W charging. To maximize your charging speed, we strongly recommend purchasing a high-quality 20W PD charger from a reputable brand or opting for an original Xiaomi power adapter for the best results.
Battery life testing
Test No. 1 – Testing in lightweight usage (YouTube only)
In our initial assessment, the device arrived with a battery level of 57%, which we fully drained. We found that continuous YouTube streaming with the screen on for approximately 8 hours and 48 minutes reduced the battery to 80%, leaving us with 20% remaining. This impressive performance equates to a total of 14 hours of screen-on time. Our results suggest that the device has the potential to deliver exceptional battery life, exceeding 9 hours on a single charge—particularly when the display screen is turned off for added energy efficiency.

Test No. 2 – Testing in moderate usage (YouTube & Stremio)
We achieved an impressive screen-on time of approximately 7 hours during our final test. This demonstrates that the device can effortlessly endure more than half a day with moderate, non-intensive use and has the potential to extend to over 10 hours.
It’s crucial to note that these results are not definitive and may fluctuate based on usage patterns, including the operation of additional apps running in the background and their effects on system resources.
Recommended Power adapter
The included power adapter in the package has a maximum output of 15W. However, for those seeking a quicker charging capability, there are optional chargers available for purchase that surpass this standard limit.
For optimal performance, it is strongly advised to utilize an authentic Xiaomi 27W power adapter or higher, as outlined in the table below, is ideal. During our testing, we recorded a maximum wired charging of 17.3W with a power adapter capable of 9V output.
Xiaomi 15W Charger (Included in the package) | Xiaomi 33W Charger (Recommended!) |
5V – 2A (10W) | 5V – 3A (15W) |
5V – 3A (15W) | 9V – 3A (27W) << |
12V – 1.25A (27W) | |
20V – 1.35A (27W) | |
11V – 3A (33W) |
Charging Speed

Our test results indicate that we successfully charged a completely drained battery from 0% to 100% in approximately 192 minutes (3.2 hours). In typical daily use, most users seldom allow their battery to fully deplete, usually drawing on only 20% to 80% of its capacity.

During our second charging test cycle, we completely discharged the battery before using the original Xiaomi 33W power adapter. The tablet was fully charged in an impressive 2 hours and 28 minutes (148 minutes).
Conclusions
Our measurements reveal that the peak wattage was calculated at 9.08V multiplied by 1.92A, resulting in 17.3W, which is nearly 18W. That saved us about 44Min of charging time in total. In summary, to fully take advantage of the maximum charging speed of 18W, we highly recommend buying a reliable 9V output adapter with a current capacity of 2A or 3A that can greatly help boosting the charging speed.
