Maybe you missed it? Banana Pi BPI-R3 Router Board Review
Banana Pi BPI-R3 Heatsink
Banana Pi R3 fans have been eagerly awaiting this much-needed, long-awaited upgrade. Since the first launch of the board in January 2023. Due to supply shortage problems and COVID-19 restrictions, the board R3 was launched prematurely without a proper cooling solution. Now, the Banana Pi team offers a Heatsink solution composed of a FAN with a connector that plugs into the 3-pin 5V socket. This means there are few if any complications with assembling a pre-made Heatsink.
The package includes two thermal pads that will cover the main ARM chip and the eMMC chip, in addition to the aluminum Heatsink unit. As for the rest of the chips such as the 2G Memory chip and 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi chips, you will probably need to buy a few extra thermal pads to cover them too.
