Examining Board Design and Layout

The Orange Pi 4A, as depicted in the photo below, provides an impressive array of interfaces for seamless connectivity. Orange Pi has also incorporated four USB 2.0 host ports. Is this a dealbreaker? Likely not for a single-board computer powered by an 8-core processor. Additionally, the company has equipped the Orange Pi 4A with three display interfaces—HDMI, MIPI DSI, and eDP—along with two camera interfaces and a color-coded 40-pin “Raspberry Pi” header.

An M.2 2280 socket has been added for installing NVMe SSD cards, providing expansion options. Additionally, there is an eMMC socket on the back of the board for different detachable eMMC chips, although a high-speed read/write SD card is usually sufficient in most situations.
