Plex playback hardware compatibility
The NestDisk’s Intel N150 is capable of handling Plex hardware-accelerated playback and most common Plex transcodes. This is because the N150’s integrated Intel UHD media engine supports hardware decode/encode for H.264 (AVC), H.265 (HEVC), and VP9, with basic AV1 decode available depending on the driver/firmware. This means that direct play and hardware-assisted transcoding of typical 1080p and 4K files in those codecs will function smoothly and with minimal CPU load. However, full AV1 software decoding or advanced AV1 decode, as well as very high-bitrate multi-stream transcoding, may revert to software processing or be constrained by the SoC’s PCIe/thermal limits and Plex’s OS/driver support. To ensure reliable Plex hardware transcoding, you should use a Plex build that supports Intel Quick Sync on Linux/Windows and test your specific files.
Active Cooling
The cooling element is a major highlight of any mini PC. This device does not use passive cooling; instead, Youyeetoo has developed a design that incorporates a copper heat-pipe heat sink blower alongside a large fan that covers the CPU and RAM chips on the board. This design also makes it evident that excess heat is expelled through the left-side venting holes in the case.

Stability Test
We also conducted tests using OCCT (OverClock Checking Tool), an all-in-one software suite for stress testing, benchmarking, and monitoring the stability of PC hardware. This stability test generates substantial arithmetic workloads to evaluate the stability of the processor, thermal cooling, RAM, and GPU.
Results
The performance was good. The fan, together with the large heat sink, successfully maintained a stable temperature throughout our testing, achieving maximum temperatures of 70ยฐC to 72ยฐC.
