RiiTek RK807 Pro: A cheaper Apple Magic Keyboard alternative
Look, we all know the iPad is basically a laptop at this point. Between the M-series chips, the way iPadOS handles windows now, and the sheer amount of processing power sitting under the glass, it’s hard to justify buying a traditional laptop if all you do is write, browse, and manage emails.
But there’s always been a massive catch: the keyboards.
If you want the “official” Apple Magic Keyboard experience, you’re dropping upwards of $300, and you’re adding a massive amount of weight to your bag. It’s great, sure, but it kind of defeats the purpose of buying a thin, light tablet in the first place. On the flip side, if you go cheap, you end up with a mushy, plasticky keyboard that feels like a toy and drops Bluetooth connections every time you look at it wrong.
For the last few weeks, I’ve been swapping out my usual heavy setup for the RiiTek RK807 Pro (Slim). Riitek has been making tech accessories for a long time, but this specific keyboard caught my eye because it’s trying to do something different. It’s not trying to be a Magic Keyboard clone. It’s trying to be the exact opposite: ultra-thin, lightweight, and focused purely on the typing experience.
After dragging it through coffee shops, airplane tray tables, and my home office, here is our honest, unfiltered take on whether the product is actually worth your money.
In this review or quick overview, we dive deep into the design, typing experience, connectivity, and overall value proposition of the product to determine if it is the ultimate productivity companion.
