Design Wise
The RS201 monitor features a 90-degree rotation support hinge that enables you to adjust and position the display in either portrait or landscape view. Additionally, Riitek has included four threads for VESA mounting, which can be advantageous if you have an arm to support it.
The S201 can also be mounted vertically (portrait mode).
Materials
Made from plastic material, this monitor is extremely lightweight, weighing 727g, making it easy to carry in a bag or suitcase. Overall, the quality appears to be good, and the plastic construction does not seem cheap. As for durability, we cannot make a definitive judgment, but having rubber bumpers in each corner would have been beneficial in preventing damage from drop impacts.
Interfaces
The navigation buttons are fairly standard. In addition to the Mini HDMI port, Riitek has included two USB Type-C ports. One of these ports is designated for power input. Both ports support reverse charging and can be used to power the monitor, as well as transfer audio and video signals when connected to mobile devices such as an iPhone, laptop, game console, mini PC, and so on.
OSD (On-Screen Display) menu
The RS201 is equipped with a user-friendly On-Screen Display (OSD) menu system, enabling you to easily adjust and customize all your display settings to suit your preferences. This flexibility includes the ability to select your desired video source, offering options such as Type-C for modern connections or Micro-HDMI for compatibility with various devices.
