Design & Quality

As explained in the product introduction, The Rikomagic MK68 TV Box is exactly the same, designed in the previous MK12 model which is based on the Amlogic S812 Solution. The Box has very thought, Approximately ~15 mm. It doesn’t have an ON/OFF Buttons. Turning the device is done thought device IR remote control provided in the package. From my personal impression running device for a couple of hours, the case itself doesn’t heat much and remains relative cool.

The MK68 comes installed Android Lollipop version 5.1 with a relatively clean firmware. For more advanced users you will be happy to know company provided a fully rooted ROM. According to my tests, playing with the product. The system was stable and everything worked fast and smooth as expected.

Results:

Most of my 1080P samples played smoothly as shown in the list below. There were a few exceptions with files that failed, and played with audio buy without any picture. The overall result was satisfying. Kodi/XBMC users, will probably don’t not need 2Kx4K playback support, although device also supports both.
